Inhabiting Scripture

Simon Jones has tagged me for this meme that originated with Andy Goodliff.  This does nothing to overcome my suspicions that the Baptist blogosphere is a little incestuous, but nonetheless.  Here is Andy’s original suggestion:

"I’d like to invite you to post that verse or story of scripture which
is important to you, which you find yourself re-visiting time after
time … "

My choice would be 2 Corinthians 5.11-21.  It is the text that shapes my understanding of the gospel as new creation and minstry as the call to inhabit the gospel with a view to proclamation and reconciliation of creation to God.  It also contains the motto for Bristol Baptist College where I first trained for minstry: Ὑπὲρ Χριστοῦ οὖν πρεσβεύομεν.

Im not going to tag anyone else, I am afraid.  Those I would have chosen have been tagged already.
